Day-of expectations

Your only job is to show up as yourself. Here’s a little guidance to help you feel prepared, comfortable, and ready to enjoy your session.

Before we meet

Check our email conversation for your confirmed meeting time, location, and any details we’ve discussed. Give yourself a little breathing room for parking and getting everyone ready so you can arrive feeling relaxed.

Wear something that feels like you

Choose outfits you can move and feel comfortable in. Coordinating colors works beautifully without everyone needing to match. Think about the setting and forecast, and bring a layer or comfortable walking shoes if they’ll help. If you’re unsure about an outfit, send Sarah a photo in our email thread.

Bring the little things

Water, a hairbrush, and anything you need for a quick touch-up can be helpful. For little ones, consider a favorite comfort item, a simple snack, and a backup outfit. Bring any meaningful item you’d like included, and let Sarah know about it when you arrive.

You don’t need to know how to pose

There’s no need to rehearse or have everything figured out. We’ll take it one moment at a time. Focus on the people you’re with, move naturally, and leave room for a little laughter. If something feels awkward or you need a break, speak up.

Let kids be kids

Little ones don’t need to smile on command or be perfectly still. Give them room to warm up, explore, and be themselves. A cuddle, a silly moment, or a quick pause can make the experience more comfortable for everyone.

If plans change

If you’re running late, someone isn’t feeling well, or you’re concerned about the weather, reach out to Sarah as soon as you can. Check in before changing plans so we can discuss the next step together.

A little preparation helps, but perfection isn’t the goal. Come ready to spend time together and make memories.
